Notes:
- The Calavera is an okay mace for when it is found. While being free and stronger than an unaugmented steel mace, Master weapons are available almost instantly after acquiring it, making it good for cheaper players.
- The other mace forsaken by timing is the Royal Sceptre, only available at the end of the game. With four open slots, it is by far the best mace in the game, unless players have the Knothole Island DLC. Master Maces with four augment slots are available there before the end of the game, making the sceptre just a pretty collectible.
- Speaking of Knothole Island, Brodican Mace and Staff of Wrath are great for when they're available. While the Staff is technically weaker due to having a filled slot (rather than the empty slot Brodican has), it is also easier to get since diamonds are much less rare than Regal Purple Die. Still, they are outperformed by Master maces with more than one augment slot.
