Potion — fable

Potions are objects in Fable, Fable: The Lost Chapters, and Fable II that give the user a variety of beneficial effects when consumed.

Overview

More common potions provide health or mana restoration effects while others increase knowledge in one of the three Hero disciplines: Strength, Skill, and Will. In addition to the standard fare are unique potions that can revive a Hero who has fallen in combat without unsightly scars, increase their overall fortitude, or even change their sex.

Fable and Fable TLC

There are few potions in these games. These are:

Health Potion - Restores health on the health bar.
Will Potion - Restores mana on the Will bar.
Ages of Might Potion - Gives Strenght xp.
Ages of Skill Potion - Gives Skill xp.
Ages of Will Potion - Gives Will xp
Elixir of Life - Increases the health bar.
Will Master's Elixir - Increases the Will bar.
Resurrection Phial - Prevents death and the game over screen from triggering.

Knothole Island Potions

These are unique potions which can only be found and sold in the shops located on Knothole Island in the Knothole Island DLC for Fable II:

Fable III greatly reduces the potions available to three. The potions featured in the game are:

Trivia

Unlike traditional spells, there is no cool down or any other requirement to utilize potions. As such, they can be spammed repeatedly if needed.
It is generally unknown how they are consumed during the pressures of combat; the most plausible and accepted theory is that they are injected straight to the bloodstream by some hidden means or mechanisms.
Potions in Fable III are substitutes for spells like Slow Time and Summoning. This might be because the level of magical ability during the Industrial Age has decreased, forcing remaining magic users to depend on potions.
